The PA Band received an overall Superior rating at the District 5 Music Performance Assessment today! The scores were: I, I, II, and II in sight reading. This was the Band's first time participating for ratings at MPA (possibly the first time in history, certainly the first time in the past 15-20 years, for sure). Congratulations, Band! Please let me know who your child will be rooming with as soon as possible. I also need to know which parents will be driving and spending the night at the hotel with us. We really need 1 adult per room, if at all possible. I will be driving the church bus, but it will be tight with 15 kids, instruments, and luggage. The honor band schedule is on the Members Only page. 6. Charges A current list of who owes money for different things Please check to see if your name is listed. 7. Auxiliary Tryouts Majorette candidates, please remember to turn in your Auxiliary Handbook Agreement Form. I put this on the band website under the Documents tab if you need to print a new one. Also, I need a copy of the lyrics to your tryout music by next Friday, Feb. 21st. Congratulations to Sarah, Logan, and Natasha for trying out for All-State today! Sarah and Natasha made District honor band and Natasha is an alternate for All-State! These are the first representatives from Pickens Academy that we have in this honor band in over a decade (possibly longer)! Congratulations! We are proud of all of you! |
