I'd say we had a successful band camp. It was definitely one of the hotter ones I can remember. Thank you for all the hard work you put in. I'm proud of you!
Meet in the band room at 4:00 tomorrow to get dressed into uniforms. Pictures will be at 4:30.
You do not need your hat. You do not need your instrument UNLESS you would like it in your individual picture.
After pictures, EVERYONE must stay to help clean up the band room. You may not leave until everything is first-day-of-school ready. With everyone working, it shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes. We will not do any rehearsing on Monday or Tuesday. We will have practice after school on Wednesday until 5:00. Bring clothes & shoes to change into for marching. We will start inside 7th period. I will give you a break to change clothes if you need to.
We will carpool to the jamboree at Oak Hill Academy (West Point, MS) on Thursday. We will not play but we will cheer on our Pirates from the stands! If you have a conflict, please talk to me. Attire will be anything school appropriate. We will leave PA at 4:30 and eat concessions at the game.
Thank you to everyone for being so punctual with turning in your forms this year! If you are one of the few who still owe me an insurance card, field trip, handbook, or emergency form, please get that to me no later than Monday!
Don't forget about our DCI party on Saturday in the band room! It will start at 5:00 and end at 10:00. Come enjoy some food and fun as we watch the top 12 drum corps compete in the championship! You do not have to stay the entire time, but the better corps will perform at the end...so, it's your call.
